Tickweed (Hurhur)

Tickweed, or Asian spiderflower, is an annual herb up to a metre tall, with sticky, glandular hairs, three- to five-part leaves and small yellow flowers. It grows in warm, humid places across India, especially in the rainy season.

Known in Sanskrit as Tilaparni, its seeds and whole plant are used in Ayurvedic and folk practice. They are traditionally included in warming preparations and pastes for joint comfort.
