Dwarf morning glory is a small, slender perennial herb with silky, hairy stems, tiny leaves and small blue flowers. It grows in open grasslands and dry areas across India, including Kerala, where it is called vishnukranthi.
Known in Sanskrit as Vishnukranta, the whole plant is used in Ayurvedic tradition, sometimes as a source of Shankhapushpi, and is valued in tonic preparations for general wellness. It is one of Kerala's ten sacred Dashapushpam flowers.
