Milkwood pine is a shrub or small tree of the Apocynaceae family that grows in the low and mid-elevation forests of southern India, including the Western Ghats of Kerala. Like its relatives it exudes a milky latex, and it bears slender leaves and fragrant white tubular flowers.
In Kerala, where it is known as Analivegam, it has a place in traditional Ayurvedic and folk practice, particularly in preparations used for skin care. The root, bark and fruit are the parts traditionally used.
